Sr. Justine Visits Canadian Federation

A Visit to the Canadian Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph

I fulfilled a long-awaited desire when I was invited by Sr. Loretta Manzara, the Executive Director of the Canadian Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph to visit Canada during the third week of May 2018. The entire visit was well planned and I was accompanied by Sr. Loretta. The visit was short but very fruitful and inspiring to me. I was touched by the zeal of our sisters. There are many places in Canada where the sisters minister, but I only had time to visit London, Hamilton, and Toronto. (more…)



NGO Hosts Groups during CSW 62

While more than 4300 women and girls from 130 countries, global leaders, and NGOs participated in the 62nd Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in March, the Congregations of St. Joseph (CSJ) UN-NGO also hosted their share of visitors for this critical session. The Religious NGOs connect the Grassroots at UN

The Congregations of St. Joseph was one of the main organizers and held a Side Event on 30 January 2018, during the fifty-sixth session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD56) at the United Nations in New York, January 29-February 7, 2018. “Connecting Development and Human Rights in the eradication of extreme poverty: Strategies for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda” was the topic of the event, co-sponsored with Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the UN and 9 other NGOs: Augustinians International, Fondazione Proclade Internazionale–Onlus, Franciscans International, International Presentation Association, Passionists International, Sisters of Charity Federation, Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, Society of Catholic Medical Missionaries and the NGO Committee on Migration.  (more…)
